Welcome to Learn with Chris

My mission is to show that anyone can learn to speak English fluently and sound like a native speaker with the right approach.

I offer dynamic programs designed to help you enhance your English skills through engaging conversations that focus on pronunciation, intonation, grammar, and vocabulary.

My Inspiration

After earning my Master's Degree in Special Education and spending five years working with students with autism, I discovered a passion for teaching English. The challenges these students faced while learning inspired me to develop a more effective teaching method that empowers learners and breaks down language barriers.

My programs are for anyone seeking to learn or improve their English skills, especially those who have struggled and feel that fluency may be out of reach.

What Sets Me Apart

At Learn with Chris, I believe language learning begins with conversation, not grammar rules. I have seen students start speaking English immediately and naturally develop correct pronunciation, intonation, and vocabulary through engaging interactions.

A Personal Story

One of the most impactful experiences in my teaching career involved a young boy with autism who initially didn’t speak at all. He would express happiness by repeatedly saying, “coo, coo, coo.” Inspired by this, I began associating the sound with the word “cookie.” Each time he said “coo,” I offered him a cookie and pronounced the complete word while placing the cookie in front of my face for him to observe.

Over time, as he watched my pronunciation and connected the sound with the object, he progressed from “coo” to saying the entire word “cookie.” This breakthrough moment was a testament to the power of visual and auditory learning cues and has become a cornerstone of my teaching method. I apply this system in my English classes, using verbal praise instead of cookies to motivate students. It's incredible how quickly learners improve by visually and audibly mimicking pronunciation.

My Qualifications

I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from Hofstra University in New York, equipping me with extensive knowledge and skills to teach English effectively. I owned and ran an English school in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where I taught thousands of students and trained hundreds of teachers, deepening my understanding of language learning.

Making English Accessible

Recognizing the financial barriers some face, I am committed to creating online programs that are accessible to all. Even though personalized classes might be costly, I strive to offer quality education that empowers learners at every financial level.
